Burns began her TV career in 1995 portraying the supporting character Peg from the Spanish-American teen comedy Out of the Blue (1995-1996). Burns was a member of the Baywatch cast in 1998. Later, she starred in the second Baywatch: Hawaii version until her pregnancy forced her to quit the show.
